We are now looking for a Group Controller to take ownership of our group consolidation, financial reporting and governance framework. This is a new role at Truvio, offering a unique opportunity to help shape and build our Group finance function as we continue to grow as a company.
About the role
As Group Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across the Group. Since this is a new role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by helping to define, develop and implement the structures, processes and ways of working needed to support Truvio’s continued growth. You will own the group consolidation process, manage accounting and reporting for the holding companies, and contribute to a strong internal control environment.
Working closely with the Director of Finance Operations, CFO and the wider finance team, you will help ensure the integrity of the Group’s financial information and support continuous improvements in reporting quality, processes and governance. You will report to the Director of Finance Operations.
What you will do
In this role, you will lead and continuously improve core finance processes across the Group, with a particular focus on consolidation, reporting quality, statutory compliance, internal controls and scalable ways of working. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Owning and managing the group consolidation process including reporting timelines and entity-level reporting requirements.
· Review and analyze financial results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Maintaining and developing group accounting policies and reporting standards.
· Supporting the preparation of board, management, and statutory financial reporting.
· Managing accounting and reporting for the Group’s holding companies.
· Coordinating the external audit process and acting as a key point of contact for Group auditors.
· Developing, maintaining and improving the internal control framework, including financial governance practices and reporting-related controls.
· Driving standardization, automation, and optimization of finance processes and reporting tools.
· Promoting best practices in financial reporting, controls and governance across the Group.
Who you are
We believe you are a structured, analytical, and proactive finance professional with a strong sense of ownership. You are comfortable moving between detailed accounting questions and the broader Group perspective, and you enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across teams and functions. You bring integrity, accuracy, and a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do.
What we are looking for
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
· 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting or controlling.
· Proven experience in group consolidation and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment.
· Strong understanding of internal controls and financial governance.
· Experience owning or leading month-end and year-end close processes.
· Experience working with external auditors and statutory reporting requirements.
· Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite or similar.
· Experience from a SaaS business, multinational organization or shared services environment is considered an advantage.
· Experience from ERP implementation or business system ownership is considered an advantage.
Skills and qualities
· Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise.
· Solid knowledge of Swedish GAAP K3 and relevant local accounting standards; IFRS experience is considered an advantage.
· Deep understanding of consolidation principles and intercompany eliminations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
· Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong financial systems skills.
· A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency.
